These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Video Quick Cut ("the Software"), developed and sold by DSGNL ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing or using the Software you agree to these Terms.
1. License Grant
Upon purchase you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the Software on one (1) personal computer. You may not sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or redistribute the Software.
2. Permitted Use
- Personal and commercial video editing on the licensed device.
- Export of edited content for any lawful purpose.
3. Prohibited Use
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Software.
- Circumventing the license activation system.
- Sharing, redistributing, or reselling the Software or license keys.
- Using the Software to process content that violates applicable law.
4. Ownership
The Software remains the intellectual property of DSGNL. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
5. Updates
A valid license includes all future updates to the major version purchased, delivered through the in-app update mechanism at no additional cost.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DSGNL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Software. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Romania.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Data We Collect
- Email address — provided at purchase, used to deliver your license key and product updates.
- Payment ID — generated by Dodo Payments (our payment processor), used to issue and track your license.
- Machine fingerprint — a one-way hash of hardware identifiers, stored locally on your device and on our server, used to enforce the single-device license limit. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Server logs — standard access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect or transmit any of your video files or project data.
- All AI processing (silence detection, scene detection, highlights) runs entirely on your local machine.
- We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics on our public website.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Delivering your license key and product updates via email.
- Verifying license validity and enforcing activation limits.
- Responding to support requests.
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only with:
- Dodo Payments — payment processor. Their privacy policy applies to payment data.
- SMTP provider — used to deliver transactional emails. Email content is not stored beyond delivery.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your email address and order record for as long as your license is active, to support license transfers, re-downloads, and support requests. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
License data is stored on a secured server with access controls. Sensitive values use cryptographic verification. No payment card data is stored by us.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@dsgnl.site. We will respond within 30 days.

Trial & Purchase Policy

Free Trial
Video Quick Cut includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features — no payment required, no credit card needed. The trial begins on first launch and runs for 14 calendar days.
We strongly encourage you to use the trial period to evaluate the Software before purchasing. The trial gives you complete access to every feature so you can make an informed decision.
Purchases are Final
Because a full-featured trial is available before purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to evaluate the Software during the trial period.
Exceptions
If you experience a technical issue that prevents the Software from functioning as described, contact us at contact@dsgnl.site. We will work to resolve the issue. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion in cases of documented technical failure that cannot be resolved.
License Transfer
If you need to move your license to a new PC, contact us and we will reset the machine binding at no charge.
